Who maintains this guide
About this Sydney Airport parking guide
An independent guide to parking sydney airport, written in plain English so the decision takes minutes instead of a night of tab-hopping.
Every precinct description on this site is written against the airport's own forecourts and car park signage, not against a rate sheet.
What this site is
An independent guide, not a booking counter
This is an independent guide to sydney airport parking. We explain the products, the precincts, the booking flow and the entry method, so you can compare airport parking before you commit to anything.
We are not the airport, we do not operate any car park, and we do not process reservations. When you are ready to book, the official booking engine at prebook.sydneyairport.com.au is where online reservations can be obtained. That separation is deliberate. A guide that also sells tends to explain the sale, not the system, and you would be reading the wrong thing.
What you get here is the explanation layer: which precinct matches which terminal, how a pre-booked rate differs from a drive-up rate, what the barrier expects from you, and what to do when your flight time moves.

What we cover
The scope is deliberately narrow. If it affects where you leave your car before a flight from Sydney, it belongs on this site. If it does not, it stays out. Six lines, one decision each.
Domestic parking
Around T2 and T3: P1, P2, P3, Blu Emu, FastPark, Valet and T2 Premium Valet, with what each one does to your walk to the gate.
T2 / T3International parking
T1 at T1: P7, P7 Premium Pre-booked Parking and T1 Premium Valet, including the walk from the car park into the departures hall.
T1Pre-booking and entry
The booking flow itself, what a QR code entry expects at the barrier, and how an Apple Wallet e-ticket behaves when the reader is slow.
QR / walletValet or self-park
A long-form comparison built on trip length, luggage, arrival buffer and whether the extra walk is worth forty dollars to you.
ComparisonAccessible parking
Where accessible bays sit in both precincts and how to raise a specific question about your own vehicle before you travel.
Both precinctsHow we keep information useful
Airport parking details shift. Products change names, precinct arrangements get updated, and booking flows evolve quietly. We describe how the system works rather than chase every rate movement, because the structure is stable even when the numbers are not.
Structure over rates
A page explaining what P3 is for does not go stale when the daily rate moves. That is why our precinct pages read as descriptions of a system, not as a price board that was accurate last Tuesday.
Figures stay attributed
Where the airport publishes a figure, such as pre-booking saving up to 70% against drive-up rates, we quote it as the airport's statement rather than presenting it as our own measurement.
Gaps stay gaps
Where we do not know something, we say so rather than filling the space with a guess. A short honest answer is more useful than a confident one you cannot rely on at the barrier.
House rules
What we won't do
A guide is only worth reading if you can tell where its lines are. These are ours, written down so you can hold us to them.
- We do not invent prices, ratings, reviews or testimonials.
- We do not claim to be the airport, and we do not claim partnerships we do not have.
- We do not call a product the best when the honest answer is that it depends on your trip length and terminal.
- We do not fabricate statistics to make a page look more authoritative than it is.
- If a comparison here concludes that self-park wins for a particular trip, that is a reasoned position built on the product structure, not a sponsored one.
Who this is for
First-time pre-bookers
You are flying out of Sydney, you have never pre-booked parking, and you want to understand the options before you commit a card to one. Start with the terminal pages and read the flow page last.
Regular flyers
You know the products already. You want a quick check on which precinct applies to your terminal this time, and whether anything has changed since your last trip.
People booking on someone else's behalf
A family member, an assistant, a colleague organising a group trip. The writing assumes no prior knowledge of the airport layout, because most readers arriving here do not have any, and the person doing the booking often has less.
Where we're based
Mascot, next to the airport
Our office is at Level 3, 241 O'Riordan Street, Mascot, NSW 2020. Sitting immediately beside Sydney Airport is not an accident of leasing. It means the questions we get asked are the ones people ask while actually trying to reach a terminal, not the ones a survey would suggest.
If you want to raise something about the guide, the contact page carries the phone number and the office hours. We are open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Four pages, one decision
Start with your terminal. Everything else follows from that one answer, and if you get it wrong you end up walking further than you budgeted for.
-
01
Flying domestic?
The domestic parking page compares P1, P2, P3 and Blu Emu side by side, with FastPark and the two valet products alongside them.
-
02
Flying international?
The T1 page covers P7, P7 Premium and T1 Premium Valet, including how long the covered walk into the departures hall actually takes.
-
03
Undecided between valet and self-park?
That comparison has its own page, built around trip length, luggage volume and how much buffer time you want before check-in.
-
04
Want to know what happens after you book?
The pre-booking guide walks the whole flow, from the confirmation email to the QR code at the entry barrier.
A note on accuracy
Corrections and what we do with them
We aim to describe the parking system accurately, and we correct things when we find they are wrong. The guide is only worth maintaining if it matches what travellers actually encounter at the barrier.
Send us a correctionWhat does a useful correction look like?
The useful ones are specific. Which car park, which terminal, which product name, and what happened at the barrier or on the walk from the bay to the terminal. A sentence is enough if it is concrete. General complaints are harder to act on because there is nothing to check.
Will prices on this site change when the airport changes them?
We do not publish live rates, because we cannot keep them current and a stale number is worse than none. What we describe is how a rate is built: what a drive-up price includes, what a pre-booked price includes, and which booking conditions change the total. The official booking engine is the only place where an actual figure for your dates exists.
Is this site connected to the airport or to any car park?
No. We are an independent guide, we do not operate any car park, and we do not take reservations. Bookings are made on the airport's official engine and handled entirely by the airport. We are the page you read before that, not the checkout after it.
How often is the guide reviewed?
Pages get revisited when something structural changes — a product renamed, a precinct renumbered, an entry method replaced — and when a reader reports something that does not match the airport. We would rather correct a page the week you tell us than leave a wrong instruction standing for a year.
Read the guide, then book on the airport's own engine.
If something on this site does not match what you found at the airport, tell us. That is the only way the guide keeps working for the next traveller who reads it the night before a flight.
